FARAZ AHMED KHAN TABLA PERFORMER Faraz Ahmed Khan, The son and Disciple of Ustad Vasi Ahmed Khan and Grand Disciple of [ Late Ustad Nawab Ali Khan Sahab of Farukabad Gharana] is a dynamic and vibrant young artist. Being born in a Music soaked family, Faraz started Learning tabla at the tender age of 4yrs. Faraz developed so much interest in Tabla that he focused all his energies and attention to his art. He won the first prize at the State level Competitions and won the Gold Medals thrice for tabla. Moving ahead in his Musical field commercially, Faraz had performed for AIR (All India Radio) programme Mumbai. He also got an opportunity to perform on Television for shows like- Movers & Shakers for Sony Entertainment Television, also for Star Plus (a jugal bandi with drums). Observing his progress and proficiency in Tabla his illustrated father and teacher Ustad Vasi Ahmed Khan gave him special training and Faraz enthusiastically performed his solo concerts for MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation) and at the Sur Sringar Samsad 'Kal ke Kalakar' (Acclaimed Musical Sanstha of India) and won the title of 'Taal Mani'. Faraz is also an Empanelled Artist of ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relation) He was lucky to perform in front of many well known personalities including Wizard Naushad. Sahab, Grammy Award Winner Toumani Diabate and Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and many more distinguish Artist. Faraz, an adult, played Internationally, as accompanied father Ustad Vasi Ahmed Khan, In many parts of India and Abroad. He has also accompanied many well known Vocalists, Instrumentalists and Dancers. Faraz then took a step forward and got himself trained in the Kathak dance style of tabla playing. Rigorous practice coupled with his passion for the tabla made him arrive into the musical profession as an established performer. Faraz has devoted himself to this art and pledges, both domestically & globally, to make the people of India proud of its rich Hindustani music. Faraz is available for solo shows, as an accompanying artist and also with his own group "TABLEMBE" (TABLA and Djembe) Recently working as a Tabla Teacher in Aster Public School, Greater Noida India.
